In the case study of Janice Radway’s 1991 book Reading the Romance: Women, Patriarchy, and Popular Literature, the author originally wanted to find out how romance readers interpreted the novels they read, but when she became involved with a group of readers (the Smithton, New York, romance readers), she discovered the more important question was the way they used the novels and integrated them into their lives. What did we learn from this case study?

Đáp án đúng: "Sometimes while conducting a participant observation study, we have to switch our focus when we discover something more important than our original notion of what we wanted to investigate.".
